Does anyone have any experience financing a per-existing manufactured home (double wide)?
I am not sure who to call as I do not think the normal mortgage lenders underwrite those types of loans.

Thank you in advance

Actually, there are some regular home lenders that will .
But there are requirements like:
It has to be on a permanent foundation with no evidence of the wheels or axles.
Has to be completely skirted and the skirting should match the rest of the siding.
Needs to be permanently hooked up to utilities, especially sewer or septic. .
It will need to be inspected and appraised.

Do you already own the land outright?

It is on leased land, but everything else on your list checks off

If its on a piece of land that is leased then only option is to go thru a bank type scnerio. It basically just like getting a car loan, boat loan type deal. Rates will be much higher on this type of loan.

I'd think this happens a lot with deer leases, maybe I am wrong.

He said Manufactured Home, not Mobile Home. Manufactured homes are common in my area. I was preapproved when I went home buying, they didn't care if it was custom built or Manufactures. They just needed it appraised and inspected.

May you be treated the way you treat other people, today and everyday!

He said double wide. Itโ€™s no different than calling a used car โ€œpre owned โ€œ

I want to buy a used school bus and do a full livable conversion, I've been down the rabbit hole and I'm hooked, albeit my addictive personality aside, no loan needed and do whatever TF you want
