The last 10 years, I have concentrated on learning the big bait game. I (and my body) are not a fan of long boat rides, especially in rough water so I tend to plan my trips were I can launch close to the area I want to fish that day. I also enjoy farm pond fishing more than before. I was fortunate to catch quite a few DD's in the early 90's, then went on a 15 year run without one. That's when I made the change to my current style and even though the quantity is not there, the big girls have started showing up again. I readily admit that I enjoy fishing now more than I ever did. Less gritchin', more fishin'

We focus on our strengths and cover a lot of water quick till we find them. Where we stink it up are shallow river lakes.

When I do, I change my shirt to get off the bad Moomba. So, if you see me wearing the same color shirt for several weeks in a row that is a good thing. (Yes, it is washed). As of this moment I am only catching between 1 - 3 each time out. My tournament season started strong with 3, 2nd place finishes with one big fish……the last 4 have sucked big time. I even zeroed out in May at Guntersville. My practice day was very good but game day was a 180 turn around. I put myself in the average classification I suppose. When I do bad most everyone else does too…..well other than the ones that finished 1st or 2nd in our tournaments 2020 Nitro Z20, Mercury 250xp 4 stroke "Sometimes I have to remind myself that it is called Fishing and not catching"
