Surface water temperature 87 degrees, Winds started out at 10-15 mph out of the South, water clarity good. Started at daylight on shell ledge and client caught an over the slot 30” Red and had 1 break us off on live shrimp. Also caught a couple of Stingray. Caught 1 trout on a ¼ oz swimbait. Moved to another shell ledge and no takers. Moved to a mid-bay reef and consistently caught Specs and Sand Trout for about 2 hours on live shrimp and ¼ oz jig heads with Down South tails with the largest being 18”. Moved out to a deeper reef and caught some smaller specs. Fished a couple drains and caught several black drum, and under the slot reds. Found some good reds tailing in the shallows, but could not get any on the hook.

All in all, a great day to enjoy God’s Beauty with a fun group of 3 on Galveston Bay.

thanks for the report. we were there Saturday and ended up with 7 keeper trout. no reds. no stingrays either and i'm really wanting to catch one about 16-18". want to try cooking the wings.
