To the sensitives that don’t want to see their pictures, don’t get on Facebook, they are plastered all over it and deservingly so. Not about being sensitive, it’s about TFF being judge, jury, and executioner. I don’t really know the whole story but I’ve seen everything from rich parents paying off people to bank robbers. It’s silly season with so many of these ridiculous posts. I never realized how perfect the older generations are…and I’m a boomer. No need for a judge or jury.......he admitted what he did.

Dang I guess all y’all never broke any law as a teen unreal ..They shouldn’t have cheated but when you raise kids in today’s society take God and rules out if the class room and home this is what you get…Banning them for life won’t help probably make them more bitter..,They need some one in there life to show them how to do the right thing…

so what will everyone defending them/light punishment say if they had held up a bank, no weapons, and took 9,000.00?
no idea what the tournament paid but same principle. what punishment if they were bank robbers? the crazy lady that fired shots in Dallas/Love Airport the other day , used a gun to attempt to rob a bank in 2019 --charges were reduced and she was let go . Why don't we just admit that some people are bad , they do things that are wrong and bad . As a society , we are allowing this behavior by basically making consequences a " slap on the wrist " --- and those people go out and repeat crimes I could care less the age of the innocent little teenagers --- they knew exactly what they were doing , planned it , bought materials to execute the plan , reaped the benefits in one Tourney . The book needs to be thrown at them and their parents should be forced to pay significant restitution . I 100% guarantee the parents are a huge contributor to how these boys behaved

I'd like to see the video. If the law ain't gonna prosecute 'em, I think the video needs to be released.

No but I downloaded some music illegally when I was 16 and I’m now never allowed to listen to music again. My neighbor under reported his house square footage for tax purposes and is never allowed to own a home again.

And I agreed they need to be held accountable. Read my post…I said what I felt the punishment should be. I just think a lifetime ban for teenagers is ridiculous. I don’t know why we don’t see the same degree of outrage on the other post about the pro’s cheating.

These two kids lives will forever be changed, not by TFF but by Facebook. They are getting hammered, doubt they ever finish the school where they are at.

I have been thinking about what punishment they should get. There has to be a consequence, or the kids will not learn a thing. Taking their fishing license away for 7 years and payback whatever money they won. They need to go and talk to high school bass teams at a THSBA event about the consequences of cheating. Make them do this in front of the peer and then after all terms have been met the state can issue them a fishing license. I never did say they could fish a tournament again. That would be up to each tournament.

I may be the last human being on Earth to never have been on Facebook.
Guess I'll be missing out on that part of this.

It's a choice they made, and they are going to have to eat the $hit sandwich they made. Hopefully the elders of the family will let them have it. Just sad, hopefully the boys can make a change in the way they live from here on out.

Since they are kids, and obviously the law isn't going to press charges, maybe there are other ways around this if they ever want to compete again. Make them earn competition again. So clubs can make up their own dollar amount that they want paid back to the club/trail.
Let's say 5k is the amount they want paid back. Let them compete, if they are in the winnings, every dollar goes back to them paying off that amount. If they are not in the winnings, thank you for your entry fee but you have to win up to the amount owed to the club for cheating, if they ever want to cut a check again for their own pocket. Just an idea and maybe will give them a way to earn back the respect among the tournament trails.
In the event they are caught cheating again, then forever banned and at that point should be prosecuted. They would be under some form of contract with both parties agreeable upon the stipulations and cheating would be enforcement to prosecute further. Think of it as a probationary time frame strictly based on how well they could fish and actually earn enough winnings in each tournament, in an HONEST WAY. They cheated and got caught. End of story. Lifetime ban. Yep, it’s amazing how many don’t realize how that works.
