over the years i have driven and towed with:
gmc/chevy
ford
nissan
dodge
toyota
of the above my favorites are 1.toyota 2.gmc/chevy
i'll never own another dodge or nissan, my experances with those were just to bad.

Charlie,

You may not be able to wait, but the 1/2 ton diesel's are coming next year. I was not able to wait, but I will be first in line to order a Ford supercrew in June or July of 2008. 23-24 city and 26-30 on the highway sounds pretty good to me. Should be able to pull the boat nicely, and I would think you could get 20 or better on the highway with your Ranger behind you.

Good luck!

They are going to use the 4.4 L Range Rover engine. GM 2 years out with Nissan. Toyo is not with the 1/2 ton diesel

There for a while my buddy was complaining about how diesel was so much more than regular gas, kind of negating the better mileage. I have a 1999 Ford F-150 with the 5.4 which gets 13 city and 18 highway, and only drops to 12 when towing the boat. I will mosy likely buy another Ford in the next 6 months to a year, but I'll be going with an Expedition. That way I can be the Soccer Dad. Lol.
