Does any one here keep or breed their own bait fish or minnows? I was thinking of doing it myself. Please no "jig" remarks.Is it a hard thing to do? What are the pros and cons?

I don’t breed bait, it’s a lot easier to just find a creek or boat ramp and catch your own, that’s what I do, 3/16” mesh cash net, endless supply of wild bait in a creek in the shallow spots.

I agree now where do you find a 3/16ths cast net, all I am able to find is 3/8ths.

I agree now where do you find a 3/16ths cast net, all I am able to find is 3/8ths.
Best/joe You have to order one, usually all a store will carry is a 3/8, every once in a while you’ll find a 1/4 which will work, but 3/16 is better and gills less bait.

I found a 1/4 inch, try that till I can find a place to order a 3/16, I like small minners.

get you some livestock sweet feed pellets.. they sink to the bottom and the minnows go crazy for it.., throw a couple handfuls out on any concrete boat ramp, and u should have all the minnow you need in a few casts.
I personally use a 12 foot seine net.. it takes 2 people but works great.
COMING SOON! .. THE STICKLE HOOK " the stay level sickle hook". sits level in the water with all knots.! Provides better hook sets and more natural jigging motion. No more adjusting the knot, gluing , or tying loop knots that cause the hook point to tangle in the loop, or worse knick the line.. The jighook that will make all others obsolete !
