Texoma always best for me Ive caught plenty in Bridgeport as well

I've slayed 'em on Lake Meredith. The bonus is you are catching walleye at the same time. But that was many years ago. If Meredith ever comes back to 75% of what it once was, head up there for a unique and awesome fishing trip.

Grapevine has more than most think They first stocked Grapevine with smallies in 1999. It was my home lake back in 2008 when they started stocking them regularly. I lived right by the lake and kept my Skeeter, kayaks and a few other things at Dove Loop Storage. We moved to East Texas in 2010 and I never got to catch a smallie on Grapevine.

Fall time into winter is good at Texoma.
You have to hunt for them, they move a lot. But when you find them you can catch them pretty good.
