About 210 on MotoGP bike, I think. Funny thing, Ben never has had a motorcycle license or a road bike.

Hey HasBen, there was a motorcycle road course in East Texas, but for the life of me I can’t remember the name of it. Did he ever ride there? You may know the name of it.

Oak Hill. Ben started there racing YSR 80’s with the CMRA. It’s gone now but was between Longview and Henderson.

That’s it. You could tell when it was a race weekend, because every hotel parking lot in Kilgore was filled with bikes on trailers.

I just went to eBay to see if they had any YSR 80's, and they don't. But look how much a rear shock for one is going for these days.

You deserve bragging right when your son is that talented racing Superbikes. I've seen some video of him and can really appreciate his skills. I still ride a bike every day and love watching Moto GP.
Put a lot of miles on this little 2006 Yamaha R6 rocket and somehow escaped without serious injuries. Only ride Adventure bikes these days.Props to your son thumb

Brian, the YSR’s were built by Yamaha as YSR50’s, but we took the 50cc motor out and put in an 80cc motor. With the 80, a small rider could wring 100mph out of one and CMRA had a YSR 80 class to run.

Ben Spies was one of the best ever road racers, and better than that he was a humble and soft spoken Texan (still is I'm sure). I didn't know him but I'm glad I knew about him.

Great time for him

call it what you will...he is not definitely not anywhere near the top of the list for QB's that I would choose needing a FG or touchdown drive late in the game.
