I'm a 74 year old retired school teacher. I am limited on my mobility. I live in the Rio Grade Valley, and love the hill County. When it gets a bit cooler I plan on taking a fishing trip north, maybe as far as lake Buchanan. I am mainly interested in fishing piers. Can anyone recommend a place with relatively easy access to go catfishing . Also nearby accommodation recommendations would also be appreciated many thanks in advance, captdavid

On the way up or back from the hill country and you want to take home some blue catfish fillets, contact Marv Elledge (210-365-7967)...nice guy, very reasonable ($100 per person), and knows the lake like the back of his hand. We have limited out both times with him. He provides everything and also fillets them for you. But you need to book him ahead of time.
