I fish
Invisix up to 12 lb for Drop Shot Leader and Crankbaits Deep with no Cover
Sunline Sniper 14 to 20 lb for moving baits and Texas Rig
Sunline Sniper 25 and 30lb Flipping Trees in Mexico.
I buy 600 yard spools. Never a Problem.

Tatsu is the best period, Same as Big Swimbait, use as a leader. Buy it when it is on sale.

Tatsu is my preferred but after 3 or so years of it...sometimes I wonder about going back to sniper for the price

That's because Tatsu does not rot. Most of the other floro's may last 2 months If you fish a lot. A couple of times a week.

Well Rube G., where is your proof that all other flurocarbon lines rot after 2 months except Tatsu? Still waiting on that explanation.

All of my reels have line that is older than two months and NONE of them have begun to rot.

I really like red label for all my moving baits and it’s great for a leader on spinning rods. For everything else it’s Berkeley %100. I tried a bunch of other lines and always come back to %100. I know it’s a larger diameter, but if I hook a fish I know I don’t have to worry about my line no matter what the cover is.

I have never had any line, mono, copolymer, fluorocarbon and braid ever rot on me. Have any of you had any rotting line on your reels? I didn't know line rotted after 2 months.

Good lord, drop it already, the guys entitled to his opinion. Who cares if everyone disagrees with what he thinks, find something more important to bicker over.

False information is not an opinion. It is either true or false.

Ok, answer me this and I will drop the whole thing. Does the fluorocarbon line you use begin to rot after 2 months? Does any line you use begin to rot after 2 months of use? Yes or no, its just that simple.

Can’t answer that question, I already said that I’ve broken every brand that I’ve tried, except for tatsu. Now wether it broke because I can’t tie knots, can’t cast without backlashing, leave it in the boat in the South Texas heat, I bought defective spools or it’s just junk that rots I can’t say.

Now I don’t think it rots, such as disintegrates, but I have read that it stretches thinner and thinner with use, maybe that’s a “thin rot”. confused 3

Maybe a better discussion would be, what’s the difference between Berkley 100% fluoro and Berkley Vanish?

I believe Vanish has a fluorescent color and 100% does not

I’ve hooked line in the bottom of a lake that was at least a couple years old and still couldn’t break it.
Fluorocarbon cannot rot.

Retirement best job ever.
