Sunline Sniper....never had an issue. I keep all my line in my garage in their original boxes in a sealed tote. Buy my spools when on sale or a deal can be had. Then use as needed. I have a few spools of Sniper that I used this year that were easily 2 years old. Not one problem from them.

Yep that’s pretty much It. I have some JDM Sunline that’s pretty sweet and use red label on my squarebill and jerkbait rods but overall, can’t go wrong with the above.

+1

That's because Tatsu does not rot. Most of the other floro's may last 2 months If you fish a lot. A couple of times a week.

Interesting. I’ve never heard of any InvisX line rotting. How does this happen?

I would like to know that also. I fish two days a week and have some Invizx that is over a year old and it still hauls in the fish just fine. How did you come up with your 2 month deterioration idea?

I've been using Seaguar Invizx for about 10 years and it's been great for me.

Berkley Vanish is the “most consistent fluorocarbon”. It sucks……consistently.

Its called Vanish for a reason because thats what happens to your lures when it breaks and it will break

Never heard of such a thing. I fish sniper 90% of the time and only respool 1-2X per year. Never have problems, breaks or rotting. Occasional shot of line conditioner is all you need to do

Since Fluoro first hit the market, i've fished with just about all of them. I like Invisx, but find myself respooling with the Red Label for about the last 6-7 years. Just dont have an issue with it (besides they dont make the 17lb test anymore) It works great and is budget friendly.

I'm sure most of us have tried numerous brands. I settled with Tatsu a few years ago. First of all it's strong and smaller diameter than most. Secondly, it seems to have less memory than other brands and casts better. With that in mind , I don't have to re-spool as often and the price seems to offset itself. Just my 2 cents.

I too have to agree with the InvizX and rotting. I bought a $50 spool off of Amazon, and I swear I've had Vanish spools last longer. It's possible I got a bad spool of InviszX since I ordered off of Amazon. You really have no idea where that stuff is coming from. Vanish really isn't all THAT bad. Just know that you'll only get 2-3 trips out of it before it starts to rot away. My go to now is the Trilene fluorocarbon. I can honestly say I haven't had one issue since switching to it. Unless somebody were to just give me a free spool of something else, I really have no desire to try anything new, and Trilene fluoro is cheaper than most of the other fluoros listed above other than Vanish.

Well Rube G., where is your proof that all other flurocarbon lines rot after 2 months except Tatsu? Still waiting on that explanation.

Rotting FC, that’s a new one. Maybe I don’t fish enough to experience this phenomenon.

There is nothing wrong with vanish.

Those that bad mouth vanish, are the same guys that buy the most expensive golf balls just to hit them in the water on their way to a 97!!

Keep wasting your money... weekend KVD!
