The Texas Team Trail presented by Bass Pro Shops & Cabela’s has unveiled the schedule for the 2023 season, which includes stops at some of the most popular tournament bass lakes in the state.
In addition to the schedule being released, the Texas Team Trail announced plans for changes to how anglers qualify for the championship as well as a new robust Team of the Year program that will reward the top ten teams for their finishes based on their season long performance. Awards will include a boat motor combination for the top ranked team following the season ending championship.
Every Texas Team Trail event will feature a boat motor combination for 1st place. In addition to the regular payout and the optional Angler Advantage side pot; Ranger Boats, Nitro Boats, Triton Boats, Garmin, and other brands will reward eligible teams with additional prizes based on their finishes.
2023 TXTT scheduled events: February 18 – Sam Rayburn March 25 – Sam Rayburn April 23 – Ray Roberts May 6 – Richland Chambers Championship - TBD
More details of the schedule, prizes and programs will be available in the very near future. Details on the schedule, updated rules and championship criteria can be found on the Texas Team Trail Website and as always, the trail is open to all boat brands. We look forward to seeing everyone on the water this season.

Was just checking results from 2022 season. Am I reading It right that AOY points are given out by the number of entries in the tournament? So the winner of cedar creek, even though they were first place, got less points then about 70 teams from the first tournament at Sam Rayburn?

Yes, the number of points earned by the winning team at each event is based on the number of entries.

Interesting. 60th at event 1 beats 1st at event 3 for AOY.

Actually the TOY points calculation is being updated to reflect that the rules state that 250 teams is considered a full field for regular season events and the top 75 teams in the TOY point standings following the final regular season event qualify for the championship.
Points will be awarded as follows:
Regular season events: 1st 250, 2nd 249, 3rd 248 in descending order until the last team weighing fish in the event has been awarded points. If more than 250 teams weigh fish at an event, all teams finishing below 250th receive 0 points.
Championship event: 1st 150 , 2nd 149, 3rd 148 in descending order until the last team weighing fish has been awarded points.
In both cases: (regular season and championship events) all teams that do not weigh fish in an event weigh will receive zero points.
