2 moderna shots and a booster and I tested positve Sunday. Just took the test cause we had some friends in town that were going to travel out of the country. I had only been sneezing and thought it was just allergies.
I have had colds worse than this. Changed my daughters flat tire Sunday in the heat before I tested.

This strain going around isnt much to worry about. Would tell you to just stay hydrated and take some vit c. Take some zinc if for some reason you start to lose taste or smell but not even sure thats a thing anymore.

Thanks for that. My wife lost taste and smell the first time she had it. I forgot about zinc. Been doing vitamin C and D

My wife developed fever and tested positive Friday. The doctor told her to go home, drink plenty of fluids, and take Tylenol, zinc, vitamin D, and vitamin C. Told her to isolate for five days.

She was congested, coughing, and had a headache and a low grade fever (101°) Saturday and Sunday. Yesterday her fever and the headache were gone. It was basically a cold.

I haven't had any symptoms at all, and we're damn sure not wearing masks around each other.

Kind of surprised the doc did not prescribe the anti-viral Paxlovid. I know someone who recently had Covid took that and the symptoms were gone in a couple of days so it seems to work.

I called my doc and his nurse said that since my symptoms were mild I could just keep taking OTC stuff. I am middle 50's , diabetic and on an imuune suppressant medication due to eye surgery last year .

I think they would have given her the antiviral, but she is in perfect health otherwise, is in good physical shape, and works out every day. On the other hand, I am a diabetic. According to the guidelines I think they would prescribe it for me. If they didn't on their own I would ask for it.

All of the current vaccinations (or whatever) are not going to keep anyone from getting Covid. It will, hopefully, lessen the symptoms.

Be safe,

Step son tested + for covid this week. Wife and I have tested -, but have cold symptoms. So it looks like we got the "Mid-term variant".

I just got over my second bout with it last week. Started as a sneeze then a nasty head cold for 8 days. Sucked but wasn’t near as bad as when I got it 2 years ago.
