This is what is left of my boat after a lady texting and driving hit me doing 55. I will have boat parts for sale soon.

One of my biggest fears when pulling the boat. Might want to have one of those TV lawyers in your back pocket. If she has the state minimum coverage you're only getting like $25k total for damages. You'll have to take her to court.

Hopefully in that case you have uninsured/under insured coverage. In that case your insurance will pick up the difference. The thing I worry about with my boat is getting the fair value if it is totalled. DON'T take their first or even 2nd offer.

What ticks me off is when I see someone with their phone at their ear in a newer vehicle that you know has bluetooth/hands free.

That was a big hit - hope everyone is alright. And I hope your truck isn't too twisted in back because then you're looking at two new vehicles.

Man, sorry to see stuff like that. The best that the insurance will do is "defray" the cost of your loss. The added inconveniences and hassles, ughhhh.... At least you weren't hurt. What about the pinhead driver of the vehicle that hit you?

Just remember, your neck and back hurts. At least until the insurance is settled.

Too many distracted clowns. Scary.

I would think you would get top dollar the way the boat market is right now, just show the insurance co what a boat like that is selling for.
