This came up in my memories today from 11 years ago on my phone. Pack and Pake running down Lake Fork. He is missed!

Spent some time on the water with Mark and that crazy dude on the far right! Lol. Don’t think I have ever laughed as much as we did. He will always be missed and Perry you’re right. Lake Fork just isn’t the same without him.

Never met him but based on falling this page for a long time, it's evident he was loved and an absolute bass wizard. He was taken too soon.....

I got to fish with Mark twice and both times were absolutely a blast. We caught em great once, and just ok once. But that didn't matter. He taught me more about Fork in 8 hours I had learned in 8 years. But my favorite memory of him was in the spring close to the end of February around 1990 or so. My buddy and I were fishing at the old road bed crossing just inside the main point of Wolf. We were making our way down that bank and I saw this guy coming down the middle of the creek channel with two other guys in his boat. I didn't know Mark or know of him at that time. But from where the creek channel crossed that road bed north they started throwing some stick bait with chrome on it. Not that unusual for spring time. For the next 45 minutes my buddy and I watched them catch over 40 bass, with the majority of them over 4 or 5 pounds. We lost count on how many and were awestruck at the size of the ones they were catching. Saw them pulling into Oak Ridge at lunch as we were. Told him I'd watched that circus he was putting on and he just howled. He leaned over and showed me the suspending rogue, chrome/blue/orange belly was what they were smacking them down on and just kinda went "shhhh". Then gave me that big ol Pack grin! He was def one of a kind.

Every time I go into the restaurant at Lake Fork Marina I expect to see him there still.Great guy to fish with. Even when we were going with him he was good to help out.

The first time I invited Pack to lunch he said "ok, but I eat a LOT!"...... roflmao

Some other Packisms....

"They ain't gonna bite till we get there"

"It doesn't cost more to go first class, you just can't stay as long"

And my personal favorite while fishing with Pack and I would get my bait hung up, I would say "I'm hung" and he woukd reply, "Bragger!"..... roflmao
