If you have a 10 year planning horizon and a diversified equity portfolio you are virtually guaranteed to make a good return investing in stocks.

LOL...virtually "guaranteed"! Kind of like a virtually weedless lure!

Clearly I should have been more precise. Over the last century the S&P delivered a negative return over two 10-year rolling periods (100 10-year periods in a century). So the probability of a negative 10-year return is approximately 2%. Over 15 and 20-year periods every return has been positive. Long-term investors with diversified equity portfolios do well; ETF and mutual fund investors do better in index funds than in actively managed funds over long-term periods. People who try to time the market do less well.

Leadership matters.

Stolen elections have consequences.

You should eat your vegetables, not elect them.

"..The pleasantist angling is to see the fish
Cut with her golden oars the silver stream,
And greedily devour the treacherous bait.
