I have never liked investing into the stock market. Lots of people do and I say God bless and good luck. I've always put my money in real estate and tangible assets. Here is a little blurb taken from Ken Moriaf's update last week regarding the bond market: "2008 was the second worst bear market we’ve had since the Great Depression. And it did not have a quarter that was as bad as this quarter that had just ended. So that’s to give you an idea of what’s going on right now. The bonds which are supposed to be the counterbalance to the stocks, right, stocks go down bonds go up. Well, bonds have had the worst first half of the year on record. On record. So, that’s the Great Depression. That’s the 70s. That’s the 80s. That’s Y2K. That’s 2008. The worst on record. Why? Because the Federal Reserve is actively raising interest rates. And when they do that, bond prices tend to fall. So being in bonds right now, it has not done very much to protect anybody from downside risk. When it comes to counter counterbalancing what the stock market is doing."

And everyone thought I was dumb when I transferred my entire 401K into the stable value fund. Now when will we see the bottom? ...I'm gonna make a fortune off this market!

Exception is I Bonds which are tied to the inflation rate.

Just another bear market. Average market decline is about 30%; we are at about 20% now. Quarterly reporting this month should feature reduced earnings outlooks, which will likely drive prices down a little more. Will start my bargain shopping later this month. If you have a 10 year planning horizon and a diversified equity portfolio you are virtually guaranteed to make a good return investing in stocks.

So what is your DOW bottom guess? 28,000 or more?

Dow is just 30 stocks - not very meaningful as an index. I do not know how much further the domestic equity market (as defined by S&P 500) might fall, don't really care. But I am extremely confident that the market will be higher within five years and 100% certain it will be higher within10 years (in real terms). And while waiting I will enjoy a nice dividend return to partially fund my lifestyle in retirement.

Ken Moraif who the OP quoted, is predicting 25,000. That is as of last Friday's email alert.

Markets rise and markets fall. It's how it works, it's not an indicator of the economic health of the country.

The true indicators are "Tom and Mary" who have 3 kids, a mortgage and a single income household. They can barely pay their mortgage, taxes and insurance on their home, food is scarce, utilities and gasoline are 100%+ over 18 months ago and now they have zero disposable income.

This is who Biden's "plan" has gutted, the American middle class family. The ones who work and try. They want Mary in a soup line while Tom tries to make enough to keep the lights on.

It's their elitist plan.

Soon you will see the dollar collapse and devalued according to many. Then all we have "stashed" away will hold pretty much no value.
