Havent seen it yet, even though most of it was filmed out here in Weatherford. The original story is pretty cool though.

I think there were a few of those boys go play football at the next level, a couple made it all the way to the NFL. There were several that became doctors over the years, great story.

I had the opportunity to tour the orphanage many years ago. It was a very neat place.
Biden famously said in the New York Observer, โI mean, you got the first mainstream African-American who is articulate and bright and clean and a nice-looking guy. I mean, thatโs a storybook, man.โ

Great film! A lot more to the story than a rag tag sports team. Its a good view of how America as a nation endured and recovered from the Great Depression, something that most prople under 40 were taught nothing about in school

My cousin from S. TX played Miller in the movie. He had a unbelievable experience around that tenured crowd of actors.
