ill fish shallow if need be but my favorite is plugging away offshore. big worm, football jig, or big crankbait is what i really like. seems i can do it for hours just hoping for that one bite...

I will fish anywhere the fish are, but 25 feet deep can be magic in the summer.

Prefer offshore, but definitely catch more shallow.

Most fun to me is shallow, but most of my money has been won in 12+ feet.

When I fun fish I always try and get a shallow bite first.

(early 90's to 2019) 80% shallow 20% offshore... 2019 to current & have added spotlock 80% offshore and 20% shallow. Now i focus on structure. I think the HB 360 plays a big role in this..

If we can catch them shallow, that's where we like to be. Go deep when needed

I like to fish 8-12' of water....so mid-depth.

Can fish both shallow and deep. Learned this fishing in Commifornia where you had to learn this based on the lake.

Really depends on the body of water for me (and time of year obviously). But some lakes just don't set up well for offshore fishing, especially older/shallower lakes that have a lot of docks.

With that said, I highly prefer offshore fishing. Give me a 10 inch ribbon-tail and a DD22 and I'll fish either all day.

Thats my money fish

Shallow and sometimes ultra shallow. I can fish deep but I prefer shallow by far.its a great time to be a shallow water fisherman as these days everyone is out off the bank using FFS and otherelectronics so its left the shallow fish to far less anglers.

I'm more comfortable fishing shallow most of the year. I definitely need to spend more time out offshore

Same. There are a lot of lakes here that fish well 10ft or under all year due to their water color and clarity.

I prefer offshore due to relatively less fishing pressure, but that usually involves fishing a lake with at least decent water visibility
