...hooks are sharp. Be careful! It's the second time I've gotten hooked this year, both times the culprit was a lipless crankbait. Last time it was stuck in my back. Still had a good day on Eagle Mountain though. Yes, I still love that Rapala...it's been forgiven.

if you aren't strapped for cash and it is real deep the hospital is best. it won't even hurt the next day... but if your a real man you just push the barb all the way through cut it off then pull it back out...

There is a specific technique involved. I guess I first learned it in Boy Scouts. I've since seen it around in lots of other places.

It's good to know how, just in case....but all that knowledge isn't very comforting when you are pulling as hard as you can stand and not getting the job done. Good thing my buddy keeps a first aid kit on the boat, we need to add a hook removing kit for sure.

Happened to me 2 years ago with a TNT slab, man those hooks are sharp. I ran 2 of the 3 treble hook in my upper arm. Had to push through and have my son to cut the hooks off just below the barbs and back them out. Finished out the day went to Dr. to get a tectnus shot then went out for my and the wifes 38th anniversery.
Gotta learn to be more careful on my end.
