I've tried braid and fluorocarbon on my spinning reels and I don't like either one. I am going to stick with mono (or copolymer.)
So, my question is...
what is your recommendation for the mono with the least amount of stretch?
Thanks in advance.

Just my opinion of course but if you are going to go mono, you can't beat Berkley Trilene Sensation. It works really well for me and the strength will surprise you. Again, just my opinion and I bet someone will recommend one that costs three times as much. Try it, I bet you will like it. IF you do and you hate it, I would like to hear your feedback.

If you Google search “mono fishing line stretch test” you will find the test details and results on another website.
Trilene XT was the least stretchy mono that he tested Followed by Suffix Seige and then Trilene XL
The least stretchy copoly that he tested Yozuri Hybrid, then Pline CX premium, then Maxima Treazure
I’ve tried all the lines above except Suffix Seige. I enjoyed fishing with all of them
Of note: the six lines above (when dry) stretched less that his least stretchy fluorocarbon. There were several lines that snapped under his test conditions (they were all fluorocarbon lines)
