I do like people expressing there opinions we are basing our opinions on here say not facts whether you like him or not he made a mistake and has to live with it, i couldn’t care less about what he did don’t know anything about the guy that being said I didn’t ask for your oplnion either!!

What's the VET card? Heck, Vietnam ERA vets got cussed at, spit at, and other unmentionables just for showing up in a public place in uniform. Is the VET Card supposed to get some kind of preferential treatment? I wonder if the people accusing him of playing the VET Card are Vets. I hope he gets justice. It sounds like that is what he wants.

Hope he gets things worked out, he sure sounded remorseful and admitted a mistake was made.

Don't know about guiding but it was a very widely held belief in the small town I grew up in that, in order to be hired as a cop, you had to go through the gauntlet.

1. Jailed for a non-felony
2. Work your time off as a city worker
3. Be the dog catcher
4. Finally a cop

I appreciate Billy and all veterans serving our country. I'm 59 and it's the detail of my life I regret the most, not serving. So, thank you to all veterans. I don't think he was "playing the vet card" but saying that it was Memorial Day weekend and along with alcohol, being with veteran buddies, he had some emotions that got the better of him. I doubt if he works really hard he can never hit my personal benchmark of stupidity. so I don't think I'll cast any stones.

I've fished with Billy, found him to be pretty darn fun and certainly an excellent fisherman! He made a mistake and owned up to it. Didn't hear him making any excuses for his bad decision making. I just always figure we all have some type of issues in our lives. Some have tons of issues, money, family, job, so I think, and I AM ONLY STATING MY FEELING, but I think I'll pray for him and his family and hope there's a positive outcome for all involved. Sometimes pressure makes us do goofy stuff!

I don’t know who he is and therefore have nothing against him but if gettin drunk and taking a picture off the wall is enough to be charged with a felony and hated by everyone on here then I must be public enemy number one. Who hasn’t been arrested for doing stupid sh.t.

I am glad I never got arrest for my stupid azz stuff I have done in my life..

Probably a whole bunch of us have never been arrested or drunk in public.
