A few years ago my wife and I took a trip to Nassau, Bahamas. We were on one of those boats that take you to a private island for a day snorkeling, laying on the beach and so on. On the boat ride out we passed an old wooden dock that caught my attention. It was in a pretty populated area but looked like it could have been way, way out in the middle of no where - which is what I loved about it. We were on a boat, not my boat, and they wouldn't let me drive so I couldn't get the best angle or lighting. It's not the greatest photo. I decided I wanted to draw it though. I really liked the way it had a feel of being an old fisherman's dock ( whether it is or not, I don't know). I took some artistic liberties and added more clouds, palm trees, a flock of birds and so on. Anyway, hear is the original photo and the way I see it in my mind.
