About 9-10 years ago, a Mexican couple bought the house across from my driveway. My wife and I were backing out of our garage and I backed into the drivers door of a brand new accord. I went and knocked on their door. “Eee-low”. I said I backed into this car out side and need to talk to the owner. The little kids said “old on”. I said ok. A few minutes later a woman came to the door. I told her I caved in the door of the car. She said “ me sorry, I move” I said no. You don’t understand. She shut the door after she said “old on”. More time goes by and HUGE m f er ones to the door. I go through the trying to explain [censored] again. He says “ old on. I move”. By then, I was done! I said”ya god damn right you’ll move. Don’t ever park there again!” Never heard another word about that car. Every once in a while, someone will park there and if I come outside, they come running outta the house to move the car. Apologizing all the while so you hit their car & didn't pay for it? I smashed the hell out if it, and tried to give them my insurance. They insisted that they were in the wrong and moved the car and I’ve not heard a word about it since…couldn’t care less. I tried to handle it correctly, but my correct and their correct were different. I guess they figured since the car was parked at the end of my driveway, that it was not my fault for hitting it. I try to do right, but after multiple attempts, I just went off on em. Culture differences? Ignorance to liability laws? Illegal and don’t want trouble? Who knows If I hit your car, I’d try three times to pay you for it too. After that, I’ll assume you’re a moron or rich and be on my way. LOL well your probably right not on the rich part

That is an easy fix. Find a fresh dead skunk, put it in a new Home Depot 5 gallon bucket (with lid) and then unload it under their car. Let is sit overnight to ensure the car gets a good dose of perfume. After they leave for the day, load the skunk back up into the bucket and drop off on the side of road somewhere. Someone will see the new bucket and pick it up and take it with them thinking they got something new for free. They will dispose of it for you quickly. PS: Only do this if you own a truck.

When they park there, why not water your yard and make sure the water hits their vehicle. That way it will always stay dirty.

I've had this problem. I spoke to the neighbor. They have a day care so they like leaving their driveway and curb clear for parents dropping off kids. I don't like it but I couldn't justify some kid getting run over because I didn't want my neighbors parking in front of my house. It was a day of celebration when they finally moved.

it's getting there... as our street "matures", it's starting to look like a used car lot along the streets with the kids coming of age getting their first car...plenty of room in the driveway but the parents want to be able to get in and out of "their" driveways... i like the idea of no overnight parking on the street - if you have room in your driveway the car(s) must be pulled in... the one that makes me mad, and i don't live on a cul'de'sac is when people park bumper to the curb in a spoke fashion around the circle, it should be against the law to park like that, if a fire truck screwed up and got to the end they couldn't turn around, imagine them having to back out with all the cars making the road narrow along the regular street...UG !

Yes, but occasionally it’s no big deal. Is this someone that does it everyday? I use my driveway or garage. My wife has a vehicle and I have another vehicle. Live in a nice middle class neighborhood homes range from 380-500. Neighbor has gotten a little lax and started now parking in front of my house almost daily and keeping his driveway empty or at least open spots. We are very particular about how we keep our stuff. Our grass is always the nicest on the street, garage organized, flowerbeds etc. Nothing I can do about it just wondering what the OT has to say. I think occasional absolutely. Every single day and not utilizing your own driveway parking or parking in front of your own home is BS. pay a visit to your neighbor and speak face to face about it if you have an issue and it bothers you This, coming on here ain’t gonna fix it.

Ideally, we prefer that people do not park on the street. If they do, it's temporary. In the garage is what is normal. (and that's what garages are for)

Jack hole neighbor used to park in front of my old house all of the time. I just started running my sprinklers every afternoon while the sun was out. With our hard water he had hard water spots all over his car. He eventually stopped parking in front of my house.

I had an older gentlemen park near my house once, I cut off his ear and wore it on a necklace to the next HOA meeting. From that day on it was known throughout the land don’t park within 100’ of my castle.
