Myself and most of us at work have caught COVID after all three shots. Some guys have had it twice since being vaccinated and boosted.

Only one guy had a severe case and that was with Delta. He also is one of the younger and most healthy and fit. He works out, crossfire etc. It tore his lungs up. Off work 57 days and had to go through basically a pulmonary rehab. Almost cost him his career. Most of us with Omicron had super mild symptoms and tested negative after 5 days.

That would be me. 3 shots but not second booster. Same for my wife. We both have prexisting conditions to be concerned with.

Mark, you bring up a good point. One of the sickest patients I cared for was like a twin of the rock (or what I assume to the Rock build) because this guy was a men among me. Borderline guerilla statue. Anyways, he struggled the absolute most I have ever seen. I could not believe how bad his lungs go and I think he was admitted for 60+ days. An absolute gentleman too and I was pulling for him to come through. It got really dicey and I thought he wasn't going to make it a few times. Delta was real, it got me but never had the lung issue, just the extreme fatigue and fevers.

What got me the most, I actually was forced to take 10 days off from work. I did 7 days of projects around the house without any issues. I even called the girlfriend and told her I was going to the lake for 3 days to catch walleye, crappie and white bass and was just going to sleep in the truck. I got everything ready, had the truck loaded for the little adventure and the next day was when I woke up with the 105 fever. I couldn't find the energy to go out to the boat for about 4-5 months because I had something against it. There was such a lack of desire to go out and even get in it to work on tackle. It was the oddest thing for me.

I failed to mention that we live 30 miles from town which definitely keeps us somewhat isolated. But my wife hits every junk store between here and Canton and she wont wear a mask! And Walmart and HEB are the bulk of our shopping. Only minor reaction to the 3 sticks.

Our entire household has been Covid free and fully vaxed , but no boosters. I have been working the entire time, staying busy as a construction consultant. My wife and son were home when schools were shut down.

I did develop an autoimmune disease after my shots that took a year to diagnose, thankfully.

My family had thanksgiving here with about 20 people a young couple came up from Arkansas that were nurses. My youngest son had first grandchild and we had no idea what it would do to infants at that time the young couple had to get tested before going back to hospital to work. They tested positive so we all went and tested we all came back positive and none of us knew we were even sick. My son and I kept siding his house while in quarantine finished up while in quarantine lol

When delta was the main variant, you caught it, you were showing some sort of symptom. Omicron, not so much. Most asymptomatic and if they have symptoms, it is easily mistaken as a cold or allergies.

Did not get the jab and am not going to get the jab. I give blood every couple of months and they always test for antibodies and they say I don't have them. I guess that means I have managed to dodge it at least to this point.

My wife and I have both been vaxed, as have our son, DIL and grandkids and none have had covid.
