Yeah, I’m confused. It’s Texas and you booked a trip in July and because it’s 100 degrees your out? It’s most always going to be around 100 degrees in July in Texas. Just jump in the water to cool off. 🤷‍♂️

I still fish the same amount. However, I have started to "practice" a little less than I would normally. It's bad when you can win an open on a saturday and still not cover your expenses on the day LOL. I'd rather give up something else before fishing. It's my stress relief.

If you just now realized it gets to 100 degrees in July in Texas, so you cancelled your fishing trip, maybe you need to get you some crayons and a coloring book and stay inside.

You can't tell me without lying that the summer heat hasn't changed over the recent years. My last across Texas trip was last June, and it wasn't nowhere near the same heat we're seeing right now. This chit right now is just miserable. I'll probably re schedule for fall time before hunting season starts

And come December/January, I'll be wading around in freezing tempatures before you boys even wake up to go chase your winter time sunfish smile you damn sissies.... grin

LOL since you seem to be unaware that it gets to over 100 degrees here in Texas in July you just might be unaware that there is no closed season for bass fishing in Texas. We "boys" fish all year long, hot or cold and we will be on the water WAY before you take your dip in freezing cold water, so just keep your sissies name calling to yourself.

I love showing up at noon when the ladies are loading up.

Much more peaceful no potlicking and
the fish eat when it's 100. Also prefer no wind. banana

We go through cycles... 1980, 1998, 2011, 2022? See a general pattern?

Just filled up in Pagosa Springs Colorado. Trout fishing, jeeping the Alpine Loop, spent the day w/wife soaking in the hot springs, 54 degrees right now and not even dark yet. All that good said: fuel prices suck. Cheapest diesel in town. And we haven’t seen anything yet! [Linked Image]

This topic got sideways. Who cares about the heat in Texas. Let's go fishing, Dang the gas prices.

wouldn't slow me down............
BUT, I can be on a handful of great lakes in less than an hour from my house.

That's what I miss about living in Louisiana; grew up there, I could go and be on the water heading almost any direction from home and be on the water in less than 30 minutes and the cool part was a lot of the places around me I could get to from what ever boat ramp i chose to use. The water ways are that interconnected. Fuel cost would be much less a problem and probably wouldn't regulate my time on the water near as much.
