Starting to look for a golf cart for the family, must be electric for the club. Golf cart first and foremost, then a cruiser to the neighbors.

Anyone have any dealers to, and not to go look and talk to?

Open to different brands, but most familiar with EZ-GO and will be my mental starting reference/comparison when looking.

Located in Mansfield, so DFW is easy, but will travel some for it, if there's an overwhelming consensus.

Action Buggies is in Willis, TX. You might not be willing to come down this far but they have a pretty good website that you can browse and get a gist of what you're wanting. They also have the prices listed for most

Just bought a cart about 18 months ago-
This was what I found and can only tell you what I think, hope it helps-
First off I was very surprised how much they were, and they have increased since I bought mine-
You can certainly get them “dressed up” at the dealer but I found the best deal for me was getting a used cart, like a couple of years old that a golf course had turned in when they get newer carts.
At that point they are mostly just basic carts but you can get them for a pretty good deal most of the time-
I had the dealer put in the lights because I wasn’t as confident that I could do it better.
But there are so many ways you can upgrade the cart yourself ordering from Amazon and upgrading in your time in the garage or wherever.
I got the ez go electric and am very happy with it-
I bought tires wheels from Amazon and save a ton over the dealers price, and you can search the Amazon site for ez go parts and see what all you think you may want to do yourself-
I stay out of the electic cars threads but for me the electric instead of the gas cart was the way to go-
I found the best deals at American golf carts in Irving but there are many good deals at other dealerships-
Good luck on what you choose, I was considering a side by side at the same time but the cart does what I want/need with much less potential maintenance and much lower initial cost.

My father in law builds custom carts. Custom paint, wheels, lift kit (if that is what you are looking for), bluetooth speakers/radio, flip and fold rear seat, etc. He makes some really nice carts. We have one in our garage that my wife, son and I use for cruising the neighborhood. I can get you his contact info if needed.

If you are going Used Cart, make sure you check the batteries really good. Most expensive thing to replace. Got mine used from a shop in town that gets used carts from courses, cleans them up and resales them. He gave me a 1 year/25% off coupon to replace the batteries in case they didn't last or I wanted to slap in new ones. Knocking on wood, I've had the cart now for 3 years and the batteries are still doing okay. Not holding a charge as long. Doubt they would last 18 holes on a hilly course but I use mine for around my property and to go up to the main road for mail and such.

May you be treated the way you treat other people, today and everyday!

EZGO is going to lithium batteries in their carts. Pretty pricey though.

Their website says there’s an 8 year warranty on the batteries.

He uses my garage as overflow when his shop gets too full. My only stipulation is that the cart runs so we can cruise the neighborhood. roflmao

When we were looking for a cart, I kept gravitating to this place up in Keller. Had some nice carts for a decent price back then. Looking at some of these prices now, not just from them, Just not worth it.
