I ran my neighbor’s lawn guy off yesterday morning and this morning, I had to run my own lawn guy off. I don’t care how hot it is, mowing at 6 AM and waking everyone up in the neighborhood is not an option. And to be perfectly clear, I usually leave the house somewhere between 430am and 545am, depending on the jobs for that day. Luckily the last two mornings, I just haven’t had to leave until about 550am.

I'd tell you to get bent.

I assume my neighbors hate me. I get a lot of work done in the coolness of the morning including welding, grinding, cutting and once a week early morning mowing.

I see a crew every morning at 7:00am. Fueling up at the C store. Last Tuesday, I followed them back to town, pulling my boat, at 9:45pm. I’d give em a break. They seem to be putting in some horrendous long hours. Just my thoughts. I won’t do their job.

What do you mean "run off"? Why do they respect your authority on their ability to mow at that time?

Let the guys making $8 an hour just do their job.

In this hot, HOT weather, I won't complain about men working outside at 6 am "1" day a week in my neighborhood with yard equipment.

If I was a yard guy, and my customer ran me off, he wouldn't have to worry about me showing up the next week at 6 am for sure, or any other time.
If I'm mowing at 6, I've got the heat and my health in consideration, not "sleep."

Addendum: I would not be mowing at 6 am, but I also wouldn't get angry about someone who is working out in the heat for 10 hours either who might wake me "once" a week.

Addendum II: Men who get up way early to work, especially for safety reasons, are far from "idiots"! it's not the 6 am mowing that worries them. It's the 1-5 mowing and heat that is the concern.

My framer starts a 6am when its 100 degrees. You better be one big bad SOB to try to run him off.

It wouldn't bother me. I'm up at that time every day of the year unless I'm sick or something.

wish I had a yard guy in this heat, he could mow at 3 am for all I would care (hearing aids out and I am deaf)

6:00 is too early the lawn crews should not start before 7:00.
