Someone took out my mailbox. The mailbox was 50 years old and gets toppled in the era of backup cameras.

Mine got hit a while back fortunately my buddy down the street parked his truck facing my way and he has a dash cam that recorded it. It was a U-Haul truck a guy moving hit is when he swung around said he did not realize he hit it. Anyway U-Haul’s insurance sent a check for the full repair amount so it worked out okay.

One of my cameras caught it all. Guy backed into it going pretty fast. He left a note and intends to pay cash or have his insurance cover it.

It took all my strength to lift those pieces up and wheel them to the backyard. I couldn't lift the top cap, it would take 2 hulks to lift.

Well, at least he was honest about it

I have seen may too many of those around my neighborhood. That's why I don't have one.

It looked like a tombstone anyway.
