I've used nasal pillows since my first machine 30 years ago. Recently I've worn a sore inside my nose that's killing me. My question, do you wear a full face, or nose only and do you like it? Pros\cons?

Full face (Mouth and Nose) for me. Had the just over the nose kind at first, but sinuses would plug up and I would start mouth breathing, bypassing the effectiveness of the CPAP. Had a beard since 2007. Surprised, but the mask the VA gives me still works well with the facial hair. I'm also a restless sleeper, having a full face with the straps adjusted right keeps the mask in place all night. Have woken up a couple times with the hose wrapped around my throat. LOL

May you be treated the way you treat other people, today and everyday!

Was the original comfortable? I'm able to keep my mouth closed.

It was. I was mostly having problems with it early because the Air Force didn't initially get me a humidifier with it and my sinuses got dried out and then would clog up. I was one of those users that put it on and was able to sleep right away, some have to get used to it. I have trouble sleeping without being masked up and air blowing at me. roflmao

Took me hours to fall asleep with either. Getting up in the night to whizz and then back to hours to fall asleep.

Over the nose, no ramp up, I take sleeping pills, after all these years...I still hate having to use it.

I use a bi-pak which is a pressurized c-pak with full face mask...I've got C.O.P.D. and my oxygen levels would get real low at night even with C-pak so they put me on the bi-pak......no problems sleeping with either although I tried c-pak with just the nose mask and it didn't work for me because during the night I would start breathing through my mouth......

NyQuil ZZZz. A good swig. Maybe some crown black to wash it down. Sleep like a passed out street bum.

Nasal pillows for me. I’ve found if I have the strap a little tight, I’ll develop a sore nasal area. Not too tight.

Also, new nasal pillows are a little softer and more pliable. Try a new pair.

I can’t sleep without mine.

Bipap here…full face.

Much fewer issues with the foam liners. Better seal, more comfortable.

In aviation masks are a tool of the trade, so I did not experience the problems some have.

I use a Resmed F30 mask with Respironics head gear. I don't know if it prevents the Apnea, but I don't snore with it on. My Wife appreciates it.
