The only thing on McDonalds menu worth eating is the Egg McMuffin and Hashbrowns. Every thing else is hot garbage. Especially the "chicken" nuggets. I want to puke when I see the latest McDonalds commercial. They need to call them what they are and that is Chicken Parts Nuggets.

Whataburger was the sticker shock for me.
Can eat at a lot of restaurants for less than two Whataburgers, fries, and coke.

I remember when our 2 KFC 3-piece meals came to $3.14 (my father expected the usual $2.89) and my father said: "I'll never darken this doorway again!"
I just wonder what he'd think of all this now . . .

Haven’t been to a McDonalds in a long time but this morning the wife wanted to stop for breakfast. I ordered a bacon, egg and cheese biscuit and it rang up at $4.19. Went home and checked standard June 2022 McDonalds menu and it said $3.89. This was the Old Jacksonville Hwy location in Tyler and I know each franchise sets its own prices. Pissed me off because I prefer Braums which is 100 yds away and the same sandwich is $2.39.
I hope they got a good look at my butt on the way out If I splurge. It’s Braums bacon egg and cheese biscuit

I know it is not the same but for years I have bought a small Brookshire's sugar free iced tea to drink on the way home from shopping. It was for many years .99 cents. Yesterday it was $1.29. Guess I'll quit doing that. It's not really the cost but the principal, a 30% increase in a small, iced tea?

Braums Hamburgers are the best.
They are just made with a higher quality of beef, you can taste it.

You can make better, healthier and cheaper food at home. I'm sure glad I'm no longer a road warrior.

I would add that all this shock and awe at restaurant prices is surprising. When you hear about inflation where do you people think it actually hits you? You dont buy from suppliers, you dont pay trucking companies, the restaurants, gas stations, retail stores, grocery stores are the cash registers for the entire system. When you hear the price of fertilizer has gone up, cattle feed, dead chickens, etc. That's gonna land somewhere and that is at the final cash register where you spend. It's not a hard concept. There's probably a good number of people here who didn't live thru the Carter years. This is worse IMO. This is going to be much worse than Carter Carter was just dumb and he loved this country. Carter was still a better president than this treasonous corrupt liberal nut
