Sure hope God isn't partial to speckled trout, if so I'm in trouble.

God knows you can feed a lot of people with just a few fish. So we may be doing more fishing than catching, that is fine with me. Hope to get there and make lots of new friends.

When I die and go to heaven, I'm going to be very surprised.

I already do... Got the waterfront house on the lake with a dock... Ya just have trip over the dogs and you're there... And on days like these, hotter than blue blazes you can go out in the morning and fish for a few, take a break, then head out after supper... Retirement is rally all it cracked up to be... Dan

Great thread... full of opportunities... when my spirit leaves this carcass behind and enters into the presence of the One True Living God, who died for me, I will likely be overwhelmed by His presence and His great love that I won’t think about anything but worshiping Him for a long long time, but after meeting all my brothers and sisters in Christ and hugging all the Bible people who helped keep my mind sane and share His Words with me and the world...then I’ll prolly slip over to the back 40 and bust a few heavenly largemouths.

It’s totally up to you, your choice, just repent and by the authority of the written Word of God if you believe in your heart that God raised Jesus from the dead and confess with your mouth that Jesus Christ is Lord you will be saved... done, you can know where you go...

That ain't no lie!

I grabbed my Mac's Steak in the Rough and green chile and got the heck out of there last Wednesday.

There was a story in Field & Stream or Outdoor Life back in the '70s:
Guy died and in the afterlife he went quail and grouse hunting every day. He got a hunting partner and they had good times. Every day was perfect conditions and had great dogs and limits every time.
At first the perfectness was great but after several hunts he sort of missed the non perfectness of a hunt. One day he took a shot that was questionable but the bird dropped anyway. That made him wonder. So the next shot he took he intentionally missed but the bird dropped anyway.
The guy looked at his partner and asked 'what fun is heaven going to be if every hunt is perfect and it's no work?'

The partner looked back at him and said 'who said this is heaven?'
