Heads up for any folks placing orders with TW. I order quite frequently from them but this time I was failing to get the free ground shipping option. It was only giving me priority or air even though it was over $50 and was just typical baits.

I finally called and talked with someone. They were unaware of any issues and offered to take the order over the phone. Once we started to process the order saw what the issue was. They have a new Atlanta warehouse and it was trying to source from there since I am in Texas. However, the free shipping option wasn't coming up for him either. Only when he changed it to ship from CA did the free shipping option appear.

They are now aware of the issue and will begin working to resolve it. In the mean time, if anyone experiences the same I would recommend calling. Also, if you ended up paying for shipping when you expected it to be free, I would call or email asking to have your shipping cost refunded. I am sure they will take care of it.

Dang those guys have had their share of problems lately. I need to put in a pretty big order to restock on a bunch of basics and I also need a couple of rods. Been holding off to give them time to work out their bugs. Looks like I may need to hold off a bit longer.

Ordered a new Steez reel from them last week. Got free next day, two free shirts, a free hat, and a koozie. I didn’t question anything

Are there still problems with credit card transactions?

I am not aware of any current issues with CC transactions. Last year there were quite a few folks who felt they had cards compromised after using them at TW. If you have any concerns I would use the PayPal option. Also, some credit card companies now offer the ability to create a temporary / virtual CC# to use for online shopping.

Placed order on 6/9 received it 6/15 no problems at all.
