I'm taking my dad fishing and he never catches anything. we are going to lake lewisville tomorrow any suggestions on which area to fish?

I like to fish the old dam. If you can make it to the end in the cut you can throw out fresh shad and get some luck on catfish, white bass or the occasional hybrid striper. If you are unable to get that far, you can fish the sandy side of the dam. You can get some luck there as it is normally turbulent from wind and boats. Lots of fish will come through to feed. That is where I normally will catch my shad with a cast net too or you can catch carp for cut bait.
