The recent context of the word “transitory” is unsettling to me.

Fully empathize. The "stuff" (for lack of a more family-friendly word) I see here and other forums makes me cringe. But I overlook it. It's not easy to do, but I manage. I know where the writers are coming from (poor souls).
Where I can't overlook it is when allegedly-educated (should probably say highly educated) people writing official documents, agency correspondence, etc. It's just as bad there as here in TFF.
Fishing, a man knows a serenity of soul and peace of mind that he finds in doing nothing else, and it makes no difference whether or not he catches anything. The mind of a true fisherman is not on petty subjects.

Issue instead of problem. An issue and a problem are two different things, yet no one has problems anymore, only issues. An issue is a situation that needs a discussion or a debate, whereas a problem requires an urgent solution.
