I purchased a new FXR in 2020 from Fun & Sun and they rigged it with their in house batteries.

I run (3) 12" Hummingbirds and (1) Garmin Livescope unit.

Never had a problem running all 4 units all day on this set up.

Purchased an X2 this winter just to make sure I didn't have issues on the water with the old stock battery.

I might get to about 1pm now before my battery gets weak, Livescope doesn't have power to function, and the motor lags in start up.

I took the battery back to Battery Bulbs Plus thinking/hoping it was a bad battery. They hooked it up to their monitor and said the battery was good.

So basically, I have an expensive battery that doesn't handle what my old stock battery did. I believe it was a Champion, but I can't remember for certain.

Not to happy to say the least.

Something is messed up because I have ran mine two full days without charging it, only have two 16's with active target but I imagine those big graphs draw about as much as 4 of the 12's.

Yeah, wish I knew what the issue was.

Have you upgraded your wiring. I went with a new heavy duty Sea Clear harness
and have had zero problems

X2 is about as good as it gets. Ran my last one for 5yrs. It was still going strong when I sold the boat.

Why would wiring have anything to do with the battery draining too quickly throughout the day?

Could see how it would limit sufficient power to the units. But not the rapid drain of battery charge.

I am running the X2 power from batteries plus. Great warranty too. There is no comparison between optima and the x2. I had optima for about 4 months and realized they are under powered for all the electronics i was running. Went to the x2 power and have yet to run the battery dead. I have ranx2 power for cranking and then use lithium for my trolling motor. X2 is a heavy batter but well worth it.
