We probably shouldn't have launched. The forecast was for a big bad front with high winds and lightning. Fished for about 30 minutes within sight of the ramp and it came in with a big blow and some lightning. But since the winds were so strong pulling the aluminum boat on the 154 ramp was not going to happen so we beached the boat. And then the wind direction changed and started pushing water over the stern. Not a happy situation to do to two experienced boaters.

The worst part for me is drying out all of my baits and tackle and getting the sand out of my Metaniums. For the boater maybe a call to the insurance company.

We fish three rotating sections on Lake Fork every other Thursday daytime about 22 times a year...

We fished section 1 today. All bass 10" and up count. MLF format, where every fish you catch counts

1st Jack White of Farmers Branch with 9 bass for 19.34 LB with a lunker of 3.78 LB.
2nd Bill Ailes of Sulphur Springs with 8 bass for15.56 LB. with a lunker of 3.62 LB.
3rd Dennis Bubinas of Lake Fork with 9 bass for 13.28 LB with a lunker of 3.02 LB.
4th Don Overstreet of Sulphur Springs with 5 bass for 11.12 LB with a lunker of 3.95 LB.
5th Herb Powell of Lake Fork with 7 bass for 9.97 LB. with a lunker of 3.02 LB.
8th Terry Thompson with the boater lunker of 5.94 LB.

Co Anglers

1st Alf Tuggle of Scroggins with 7 bass for 12.46 LB with the co-angler lunker of 3.45 LB
2nd Bob Lambert of Lake Fork with 4 bass for 7.57 LB with a 3.02 LB lunker
3rd Ken Kielbas of Arlington with 4 fish for6.07 LB with a 1.82 LB lunker.
4th Rick Wright of Rowlett with 3 bass for 4.74 LB with a 2.81 LB lunker. .
5th Scott Powell of Lake Fork with 2 bass for 3.55 LB with a 2.02 LB lunker.

70 bass were caught, and 5 anglers were skunked.
