If this is true, at this point he should have been evaluated extensively and if found to be the sociopath he was, then he should have been locked up for life. The easier path to deal with sociopaths is something most people on here could not sleep at night with likely.

His mother could have brought him sandwiches and birthday cakes in a mental institution...

The ACLU eliminated this as a an outcome. Many many years ago they won a lawsuit ending the practice of placing folks in institutions. Folks have to be mainstreamed back into the public. In a past life I spent a week in an RN residency at the place in Terrell, my view in general is that most people have no idea what is out there among us.

Head of DPS just addressed this at the press conference. The shooter was not one of the two kids questioned four years ago. More internet BS.

And I know who "Jeff" is.

I am old enough to remember when people got institutionalized and when they turned them all loose. Most were shunned by their families and that is when you started seeing homeless more and more.

Things exploded when the assault weapon ban expired, but 2005 was also the start of social media...

Here are my questions if you have the answers. I can attempt to find the answers but thought you might already know. I feel like I've already been down this road after the Stoneman Douglas shooting but failed to retain the information.

-Is that data based on injuries or deaths?
-When did mass shopping criteria/definition change and how did it change?
-How many were handgun related?
-Are gang related shooting in this data?
-How many deaths by rifle are there compared to other weapons?

2005 was 25 years after Carter gutted the federal mental healthcare programs. That means in 2005 you had a lot of mentals that never were treated and now were adults. That is the more important statistic
