Large swimbaits I have a dobyns 795sb and 20lb fluoro. No braid.
Topwaters I have a Falcon โHermโ with 50lb braid and about 2โ mono leader.

Define large. About the biggest swimbait I throw is 6-8 inches long. I typically use a 7'5" or 7'6" Heavy action, not too fast. 20 lb big game.

Treble hooked large swimbaits and large treble hooked topwaters: You will want a rod with a more moderate action. Value based options would be an iRod Genesis Jr. Swim (1-4oz) and iRod Genesis Swim (4-10oz)
Single hooked large swimbaits: a rod with a faster action is preferred. Value based options include the Okuma Guide Select series.
I do like 50lb Power Pro braid as mainline for swimbaits and large topwaters, but also use a 5-6ft leader of 20lb Pline CXX.
I want some stretch and forgiveness when the bass is close to the boat/kayak; thus the copoly leader.
