I don't want the federal government to control anything in the economy, or at least as little as possible. Government meddling is how we got into the position we're in today. I want them to stay out of it.
National defense. Court system. National infrastructure. Yep, that should be about it.

This is from 2020:
In July, 52% of young adults resided with one or both of their parents, up from 47% in February, according to a new Pew Research Center analysis of monthly Census Bureau data. The number living with parents grew to 26.6 million.
This has been happening for awhile!

Got a meeting with my FA tomorrow to try and stem the bleeding. Elections have consequences. Other than selling in a down market there isnt much to do. Dont fall into the trap of buying high and selling low on panic. Sometimes you just have to wait, or better yet buy stocks on sale. Tha its kind of my thought. When everyone is looking to unload stuff and take losses I am a buyer. I want to double down. Buy low and sell high and all... I There you go. Just listen to wawi and you will be better off in the long run.

And our CIC keeps stepping in it every time he opens his mouth. Now we're closer to some kind of conflict over Taiwan because they let that idiot out of the house yesterday. Zero confidence in any meaningful turnaround while that fool is in office.
You are not a good or nice person.

The crash in 2008 was a blessing in my case. Caused the company I worked for to lay off our whole department. I had worked there long enough that to get a nice retirement payoff that I had to roll over into an investment or pay heavy taxes on. The transfer of money into the fund happened at just about the lowest point of the market. Within a short time that investment had more than doubled as the market came back to it's normal levels/growth. Sometimes you get lucky.
May you be treated the way you treat other people, today and everyday!

I was riding my bicycle one time, hit some soft mud, flew over the handlebars, and stuck a tine of a hay rake all the way through my forehead and out the back of my skull. Amazingly it didn't hit anything vital and I'm okay. I even got a huge settlement from the farmer who left the rake there and used the money to buy a Trans Am that was later used by Burt Reynolds in Smokey And The Bandit. I turned that $8,000 into half a million when I sold it. Cha-ching!
The obvious moral of this story is that you all need to get on bicycles and start riding around looking for hay rakes.
