have had a live unit for almost 10 months and struggling to really pick it up. Was anyone else struggling with it and took out a guide and felt it was really worth taking out the guide to learn the live?

The warmer the water gets the more active all the fish get and it's easy to spend all day chasing what are not bass.

My first experience with FFS was with a crappie guide on Fork, and it was an eye opener to what FFS is capable of doing.

It's worth the price if you find a guide who can actually teach you something. A lot people who "guide" will simply pass on info anyone is capable of obtaining on YouTube.

Do you research if you really want to learn, IMO most the young guys are a lot better with FFS than anyone over 40. They grew up their entire life with a screen in their faces.

Jack York is supposed to be one of the best with FFS.

Jack York IS one of the best. I first booked him several years ago and he was the first person I went out with that had it. He is THE big bass stalker.

Here is what I’ve learned to be the most important part of learning FFS, if you have ADD you might as well sell the FFS and go back to fishing the way you always have. I can stare at that thing for about 15 minutes and then I lose interest. Good luck either way.

I've used mine about 2 dozen times and can really feel I'm getting the hang of it. Sometimes i'm annoyed that I can find my bait, that certainly happens, but it's getting better.

Keep plugging away at it, change one setting at a time and observe the change in performance before turning too many knobs at one time.

I am just now getting used to my side imaging..... at my current rate I will be too old to fish or FFS will be replaced with something else.
