holy moly fatman!

had to have 4 hose bibs changed out for rockwork, need to the longer.

4 hose bibs, about 2 hrs. for 2 plumbers just cost us almost 1,400.00

have been using this co. since I got here 8 yrs. ago, next time I will be shopping around for a decent price.

4 hose bibs at home depot run about 180.00 for the 8" we had installed.

He77, surprised you got off that cheap. Also surprised the company had 2 workers.

The plumbers we use in Denton charge me $95/hr for 1 plumber and $135/hr for a plumber and a helper. It's money well-spent if it keeps me from doing plumbing work.

Dang. We're paying about $175 for a service call and about $150/bib when we've had 'em done...I thought that was stupid. Did they at least buy you dinner before and kiss you after?

just printed the bill, 208.00 for 3 of them, 755.00 for another, they were all the same ease of install.

wait till I bill them for the 12" 2x6 and 2 screws along with my labor for 15 mins. (I only bill in 1 hr. increments).

What did these guys do? Did they simply unscrew the old bibs and screw on the new ones? Or was there some soldering involved?

I bet they charged you door to door since you're out in the boonies.

no soldering, they used the compression fittings on one and the other 3 were just screw out, screw in.

called for an explanation of why one was more than triple the cost of the others and no call back, guess I am goin in early am and get arrested (I have a short temper when stupid is involved).
