One dead from a gunshot at the Lockheed main gate in white settlement this morning. Police found a "device" in his car and the ATF is on the way. The gate is closed until further notice.

Holy smokes. Has anyone else noticed that shootings inthe metroplex have skyrocketed in the past few months? Its really getting bad.

At least he was kind enough not to involve anyone else.

DFW has always been a shooting gallery with many deaths daily, but usually when they are in the poorer crime ridden non middle class hoods the frequency of media coverage is low

There are a good number that really never even make the news. We have at least 1 or more every shift within the system we operate in.

when I worked in South Dallas 3-5 daily that never hit the news was normal. Most people live in a vacuum and do not realize how bad the urban areas really are today.

Yep, we are now part of the FWFD system and have been for about 18 months. Its crazy the amount of assaults, shootings and stabbings that never make the news.

People like to point to other cities etc having issues but often they don't even have a clue what happens in their own area.

Sho' am glad I don't live anywhere near that area, or Houston, or San Antonio, or Austin. Just the daily traffic would be enough to get one into a homicidal rage.
