 Trailer repair?

I have a 2001 Ranger Trail trailer that hauls a Ranger Comanche 520VX. Upon installing trailer LEDs I noticed that the trailer axle is coming into contact with the trailer frame. I can't remember hitting something so hard as to cause the leaf springs to bottom out. Not sure if I need new leaf springs, additional leaf springs, equalizers, etc.? Where should i go to get this issue addressed/repaired?

If your axle is contacting the frame you probably have a broken leaf spring and would think your tire is rubbing the fender. In a pinch I have put a block of wood between the axle and the frame to get it where I could work on it. If you can't fix it yourself you might call a mobile mechanic. Big Tex Trailers at 3549 and I30 in Rockwall works on boat trailers and RVs but you should be able to find something closer.

In a pinch I have put a block of wood between the axle and the frame to get it where I could work on it. If you can't fix it yourself you might call a mobile mechanic. Big Tex Trailers at 3549 and I30 in Rockwall works on boat trailers and RVs but you should be able to find something closer. Excellent point. I inherited this boat from my dad. I highly suspect this has been going on for some time. There is a spot on the axle rubbed clean where its obvious it has been hitting the trailer frame. I called McGill's and, as expected, the next two weeks are the busiest of the entire year. I will likely spend the next couple of week installing my new Garmin electronics. BPS had the ECHOMAP 106SVs on sale for $999...over 50% off. Not bad. Sucks that I can't be on the water, but its probably safer for everyone if I just hang tight until I can get the trailer repaired.
