What would be the go to lake, close to DFW, and who would be the guide to put my wife and I on a ice chest full of Filet Mignon of the Lake? Looking to stock the freezer for the year. I don't know any crappie hotspots near DFW. Willing to travel some, but don't really want to drive like 100 miles. I know Ray Bob is supposed to be a great crappie lake, but don't know any guides there. Any suggestions?

I'm sure there are several guides that can accommodate you, but I would let Lane Palmer of Ft Worth Fishing (and Constant Pursuit Outfitters) guide you on a DFW lake where the crappie are currently active. He guides on several lakes around DFW. We catch limits every time we go with him. My wife has a great time "catching"...opposed to fishing.
