Is it any good?

I bought a combo prefilled with 6# yellow Mr Crappie mono. Is it any good or should I just go ahead and replace it?

I have 10# yellow braid on my other outfit.

Its a good inexpensive line. I just aint a fan of any hi viz line. I use the Mr. Crappie line in clear though. In my opinion it aint as limp as Trilene XL but its half the price too.

This catfish was caught on Mr. Crappie 6# hi viz.
It's good line at a great price.

Good Luck,
Bozz

Thanks guys and nice cat there, BOZZ!

The reason I’m asking is as I was threading the rod I had coils come off and get wrapped around the reel. Of course I have no idea how long this line has been on. I stretched the first 40 or 50 yards out though and it seems like any memory in it has been relieved.

It’s good line, if the water is clear just use a 3’ leader of 4-6 lb fluorocarbon.

if you bought it used, I would put my own line on it. You dont know how long that line has been on there.
Mr Crappie hi viz is OK, but you dont know if it's been on there 2-3 years or what. Re-string it with new line, then you'll know it's good. thumb

It’s a new combo straight from Academy.

It's the only line I use on my crappie rods.
