What crank do you guys use when you want to get 6-10 feet? I use squarebills down to 6, 5xd-10xd for the depths of 10+, but I feel like I haven't found a CB for those medium depths. I've used Bandit 300's and 3xd for medium depths, but they're a chore to throw into wind due to the small size. The Rapala DT-10s seem to dive maybe to 8, but don't usually sniff 10 for me (not convinced I like the DT lineup anyway). What's out there that I'm missing?

Couple of options:

Use a medium and a medium heavy spinning rod with moderate actions for throwing lighter crankbaits into the wind.

The bigger/heavier magnum squarebills dive about 10ft. Bomber Deep fat free shad square bill, 6th sense Cloud 9, and Strike King make some. Cast a mile into the wind.

sounds ridiculous but I smashed a bunch of good fish this spring during pre-spawn on a lunkerhunt impact jolt 8F. It gets down about 6-9 ft and did very well for me. Cheap little bait but that flat side and square bill worked damn good for me.

I'm a big fan of DT10s. 10lb flouro will get it down there.

I never use spinning equipment on crank baits. No reason for it.

Megabass deep x 100 LBO, 8-10 feet and cast pretty well on a baitcaster.
