 Filling the freezer near DFW, what lake, what guide?

What would be the go to lake, close to DFW, and who would be the guide to put my wife and I on a ice chest full of Filet Mignon of the Lake? Looking to stock the freezer for the year. I don't know any crappie hotspots near DFW. Willing to travel some, but don't really want to drive like 100 miles. I know Ray Bob is supposed to be a great crappie lake, but don't know any guides there. Any suggestions?

I guide on Grapevine and Lewisville if you are looking to stay close to home with gas prices so high and we can definitely fill a cooler at either. Please check out my website www.KidKrappie.com. I have more weekdays (in May) than weekends available at the moment but do have every friday/saturday open in June except 6/11.

I think RD still guides for/with Lane Palmer, on Cedar Creek. Fished with him before and did well.

Three of us, barely got a limit. We hit numerous spots, some were loaded with fish, But were not hungry. I Will say laner worked hard, Till last light we had fun & I learned somethin. After 50+ yrs of fishing. Lane is straight up GOOD UN. in my book. Looking forward to fishin with him or RD.

We went out with Lane this morning and flat tore them up. Definitely filled the freezer, and had a few unexpected catches.
