Is the Hyundai Tucson.

I just saw a commercial showing off its self parking feature. This car slid into a spot so tight its occupants could not exit the vehicle. So they get out of the car and this selfish [censored] car parks itself. In doing so the cars prevented the passenger doors of the vehicle on its left from being accessible and blocked all driver side doors of the vehicle on the right.

This is terrible behavior and not a trick we should be promoting.

Cars can't be selfish.
In the example you gave either the spot was very narrow or the cars on the left and right were parked too wrong.
I understand the contention but the feature is a good one that most everyone would want.

Parking and exiting the garage at home is a common tight fit. Pushing a button and having the car do it for you is a deal. Plus olds, handicapped or people with other impediments have a problem getting out of a car whenever they cannot open the door all the way.

if one can not drive and park ones own vehicle then they most likely should not have a license to do so.
they keep dumbing the population down with all the goody gadgets and features, people drive bad enough now without adding to their laziness and inability.

It's actually more for when idiots park too close to you and you need to retrieve your car from the spot. For some reason people can't park cars between the lines. I've not had to use it so far, but I could have used it numerous times over the years.

I will say this, the university repaved the parking lot where my reserved spot is. They gave us each more space and it's been a blessing. We have a lot of events for outside organizations at our facility and the people clearly can't read and can't park. Had one dude yesterday that didn't understand you have to drive one way in certain lanes...and then parked in a reserved spot that wasn't his (we pay $825/yr to have those). Ran into the building used the bathroom and came out to a parking ticket. I love karma.

Hope it comes with self healing door skins like kit from knight rider. If that squeezed it’s [censored] next to my truck, I’d kick the Hyundais door in to get in my truck. Stupid.
