"Stories about long-departed Las Vegas organized crime figures are surfacing after a second set of unidentified human remains were revealed as the water level falls on drought-stricken Lake Mead.
The reservoir on the Colorado River is about a 30-minute drive from the mob-founded Las Vegas Strip.
“There’s no telling what we’ll find in Lake Mead,” former Las Vegas Mayor Oscar Goodman said Monday. “It’s not a bad place to dump a body.”LINK

Wife grew up in Vegas
Had a few schoolmates parents 86’d. 8 miles out, six feet deep. Great town to be a mute.
Anyone they dumped in Mead, they seriously wanted dead.

It seems like crappie guys with livescope would find these relics and catch tasty crappie nearby.

Fished Mead for stripers with a guide a few times when it was pretty full. Beautiful lake back then and fun on top waters to watch em bust the surface. Guide was Police Chief in Henderson also so I bet he had some stories about missing individuals!

Drove past the lake two days ago returning home from 4,200 mile road trip to visit son and wife in SF Bay area. Could see how low water is from coloration of cliffs.
